Who was King Solomon?

King Solomon was a legendary king of the United Kingdom of Israel, renowned for his great wisdom, immense wealth, and for building the first Temple in Jerusalem. The son of King David and Bathsheba, he succeeded his father around the 10th century BCE and his reign is often considered a "Golden Age" for Israel. According to biblical tradition, he also wrote parts of the books of Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, and the Song of Songs. 

King Solomon's birth year is estimated to be around 1010 B.C. and his death to be around 931 B.C.
